Art that speaks to you

I rewatched Lost in Translation after years and that was the best decision of my day.

The more you know who you are and what you want, the less you let things upset you.

It’s been years since I watched Lost in Translation for the first time, but I don’t remember the movie making a significant impact on me. I watched it again this rainy Sunday and my experience this time around was completely different. I was mesmerized and overwhelmingly captivated by every delicate detail of this quiet masterpiece.

Everything about it – the people, the soundtrack, the loneliness, the questions, the photography…I could relate so much to all of it in such a deep level. I feel that my recent experiences have shaped me so much as a person in the world while at the same time made me question myself and what it is that I’m meant to be after all. Years ago the story couldn’t speak much to me but now I simply felt embraced by it.

I’m smitten and currently have a girl crush on Scarlet Johansson¬† ( and Bill Murray, of course!). I know that only means I’m very late to this party, but I have a feeling this won’t go away so soon. This one I hold very dear to my heart.

I love how any form of art can be so informative and meaningful in different ways to different people. How it can touch you so deeply and inspire you so profoundly. I am in love with this world and the possibilities it has to offer!
