Greek yoghurt breakfast bowl

I like starting my day off with a hearty breakfast, specially if it’s quick and easy to make. Greek yoghurt is healthy, high in protein and a great option for those mornings when you barely have time to make anything and just need to rush out the door. This recipe makes for a great breakfast, or an afternoon snack. You only need 4 basic ingredients, and my most important tip is this: make sure you have good ingredients. It doesn’t matter what fruit or cereal you ultimately decide to go with, as long as it’s good quality you’ll have yourself a super delicious greek yoghurt bowl. Because it’s so simple, you can really taste each ingredient in it, and they complement each other so well: the creaminess of the yoghurt, the crunchiness of the cereal, the freshness of the blueberries exploding in your mouth and finally, a generous drizzle of maple syrup, enhancing the flavours and bringing everything together. Here’s what you’ll need:

Greek yoghurt

Corn flake cereal (I highly recommend Nature’s Path Organic Honey’d Corn Flakes Cereal. It’s absolutely delicious and crunchy, and also organic. It makes a huge difference)

Blueberries (or any type of berries)

Maple syrup

There’s not an exact measure for each ingredient, the idea is to just follow your heart. I use 9% Greek yoghurt and it’s incredibly creamy and filling. I also tend to go overboard with my maple syrup because it just binds the whole thing together beautifully. It’s the perfect amount of sweet and consistency to my taste, and I like it better than honey, specially for this recipe.
