Although I love a scrumptious and elaborate breakfast, some days I’m just happy to sleep in and do something quick and easy for my morning meal. I love how toasts are so versatile, take five minutes, and offer endless possibilities for creativity. Living in Germany, I’ve learned how people there love eating healthy versions of toasts: usually some cheese and cucumber – they like keeping things simple, and although I love their simplicity, I also highly appreciate fattier topping alternatives (read: a lot of avocados or a generous amount of nutella).
