My current favourite body lotion

Lately, more than ever, I’ve been making an extra effort to be environmentally conscious and have a mindset of intention. I’ve made a priority to reduce my use of plastic and since I’ve made that decision I’ve been *slightly* obsessed with tote bags: see them everywhere, want to buy them all.

But I’m not talking about tote bags today. I’m here to talk about my latest find: the Love Beauty and Planet murumuru butter & rose body lotion. What a mouthful! My skin tends to get pretty dry during colder months, and moisturizer becomes a big necessity. I knew I wanted to try something new this time and wanted to go as organic as possible without breaking the bank; that’s when I stumbled upon Love Beauty and Planet’s body lotion.

I wasn’t really familiar with the brand, but apart from the very cute packaging, the one thing that really got me was their slogan “beauty and its environmental impact are inseparable.” It cost me 10 euros, and the rose scent smells lovely once it’s rubbed in. It leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturised, but not oily, and the texture is the perfect blend of thick and light. And the best thing about their products is that I know I’m using something that is not causing any extra damage to the environment.

Every product is 100% vegan and they’re never tested on animals. There’s no parabens, dyes, or silicones either, and the packaging is made from 100% recycled plastic. Each year the brand discloses its carbon footprint, and aims to reduce it by 20% by the year 2020. For each carbon ton it produces, they donate $40 to a carbon tax fund, which supports programs that reduce carbon emissions and landfill waste.

It makes me so happy to find brands that are concerned with creating products that cause a positive impact, and made ethically sourced ingredients.

Doesn’t it sound great? And what a pretty packaging! I’m thoroughly pleased.
