Why I Travel: Amalfi Coast

It was late spring when my family and I landed on the beautiful mess that is the city of Naples. After dodging cars and risking our lives in one the most insane traffics we’ve ever seen, we made it to our accommodation in one piece.

It was only the beginning of a wonderful little adventure that would end with us road tripping along the Amalfi coast, sipping limoncello, and eating fresh pasta at a charming restaurant overlooking the sea. Sounds like a dream, doesn’t it? Well, it was. And sometimes, when it feels like a lifetime ago, I go through these pictures and the memories come rushing back, like it all just happened yesterday.

I’ll leave you with some pictures that I hope will say more than I could ever try to explain here. If you ever get the chance to visit Italy, go. Don’t think, just go. You’ll lose yourself in all that Mediterranean beauty, be surrounded by endless gelato opportunities that I guarantee you won’t be able to resist, and – trust me – you will never be sorry. I would gladly spend my days indulging in gelato filled afternoons, eating pizza, pasta and wine. Eat pray love my way though life. You can eat so well in Italy without spending a fortune, and you can walk for hours without realising because there’s so much to see. The Amalfi coast is such a special, precious little corner of the world and I hope to go back someday.
